There was, though, still activity on transfer deadline day and six pieces of movement in the window as a whole. Lee Sobot runs through what was what.

IN: none

OUTS:

Jay-Roy Grot (VfL Osnabruck, permanent)

The transfer deadline day headline-maker if there was one. Netherlands youth international Grot signed for Leeds from NEC Nijmegan in August 2017 with a big frame at six-foot-four and a big reputation as a very talented goalscoring youngster. But the forward who joined the Whites as a 19-year-old never really got going and after loan spells at VVV-Venlo and Vitesse, Grot finally left the club for good on transfer deadline day. Grot bids farewell to Leeds to join second tier German side VfL Osnabrück on a deal until the summer of 2022.

Conor Shaughnessy (Rochdale, released)

Shaughnessy joined Leeds even before Grot in September 2016 but the 24-year-old defender has not made a first team appearance for the Whites in over two-and-a-half-years. United confirmed his release yesterday and Shaughnessy swiftly joined League One side Rochdale.

Rafa Mujica (Las Palmas, loan)

The first of three bits of transfer activity on deadline day as the 22-year-old Spanish forward joined Spanish Segunda Division side UD Las Palmas on loan until the end of season. Mujica signed for Leeds in July 2019 and the 22-year-old has recently been on loan at Real Oviedo, where he scored twice. Mujica is contracted at United until the summer of 2022.

Jordan Stevens (Bradford City, loan)

One of three Whites youngsters to head out on loan during the January window but long before deadline day. Twenty-year-old winger Stevens had initially been on loan at League One side Swindon Town before being recalled and is now set to spend the rest of the campaign with the League Two Bantams. Contracted at Leeds until the summer of 2022.

Robbie Gotts (Salford City, loan)

Similar to Stevens in the sense of seeing an existing loan spell cut short to start another one. Versatile 21-year-old Academy graduate Gotts had initially been on loan at League One side Lincoln City but is now with League Two outfit Salford for the remainder of the campaign. Contracted at Leeds until the summer of 2022.

Ryan Edmondson (Northampton Town, loan)

The 19-year-old striker is another player who is now on to his second loan spell but this time in the EFL with League One side Northampton having impressed north of the border in the SPL on loan with Aberdeen. Edmondson signed a new three-year deal with Leeds earlier this season.
