Signed back in 2019, Rafa Mujica's arrival was Elland Road was greeted with intrigue by Leeds fans, keen to see how the ex-Barcelona starlet would fare in English football.

It hasn't worked out for the 22-year-old, who is yet to make his competitive debut for Leeds, and has spent the majority of his time on the books back in Spain on loan to the likes of Extremadura, Villareal B, and Oviedo.

His most recent jaunt, a half-season spell with his boyhood club Las Palmas, has been his most successful yet, where he's showing glimpses of quality under ex-West Bromwich Albion boss Pepe Mel.

Leeds United's Rafa Mujica looks set to leave the club permanently this summer.

The Segunda Liga side have an option to sign Mujica on a permanent deal this summer, and reports from Spanish outlet AS suggest they are now keen to do so.

However, it is stated that Las Palmas will look to renegotiate terms with Leeds, in order to secure more favourable deal for the ex-Spain U19 international.

Mujica has made ten appearances for his current side, who are on track for another mid-table finish in the Spanish second tier, where they have been trapped since being relegated from La Liga in 2018 under Paco Jemez.

Meanwhile, ahead of the summer transfer window, Leeds have been linked with a host of potential signings. The latest reports suggest Everton and Leeds will battle to sign Arsenal's Ainsley Maitland-Niles, while the likes of Crystal Palace and West Ham United are also said to be keen.
