The son of former Whites striker and Academy coach Richard Cresswell made his first team debut in September against Hull City in the Carabao Cup.

The 18-year-old centre-back is yet another youngster to have progressed through the club's Academy system with Cresswell featuring seven times for Mark Jackson’s high-flying Leeds United under-23s in Premier League 2 this term.

Jackson's side are currently sat second in the table.

Cresswell has also been making big strides on the youth international front with the teenager called up to the England under-19s squad during the last two international breaks.

Cresswell was one of three Whites players to feature this week as England's under-19s hammered Derby County's under-23s 8-0.

Whites team mates Sam Greenwood and Joe Gelhardt - who were both recruited in the summer - were also on the scoresheet.
