Leeds United's dramatically changed new predicted Premier League finishing position after fresh blow, boosts for rivals and managerial change

Leeds United fell to their sixth defeat from their last eight games at the weekend and there has been a huge change in where the Whites are now predicted to finish.

Jesse Marsch’s side put themselves on course to finally record a first win in eight games when leading 1-0 against Sunday’s newly-promoted visitors Fulham but the Elland Road contest ultimately ended in a 3-2 defeat for the Whites.

United’s fourth loss in a row left the Whites in the Premier League’s relegation zone at the end of a week which featured boosts for several other sides scrapping it out at the bottom and a managerial change.

Nottingham Forest recorded just a second win of the season when upsetting Liverpool to record a 1-0 triumph at the City Ground on Saturday whilst Leicester City followed Thursday night’s 2-0 victory at home to Leeds with a 4-0 romp at troubled Wolves on Sunday.

Southampton also picked up a point from a 1-1 draw at home to Arsenal whilst Aston Villa’s first game following the sacking of former boss Steven Gerrard on Thursday produced a 4-0 win at home to Brentford.

Everton also recorded a 3-0 triumph at home to Crystal Palace on Saturday and the weekend’s results have left Leeds third-bottom and level on points with bottom two Forest and Wolves.

The Whites have a game in hand on both sides but United are already two points adrift of safety and four of the club’s next five games are against teams in the top eight, including three of the Premier League’s current top four.

Ahead of next weekend’s trip to Liverpool, this is where Leeds are now predicted to finish based on the very latest odds for relegation and the prices for the title to determine the pecking order at the top in what is expected be a breakaway first seven.
