Former Leeds United loanee Eddie Nkeitah will remain with parent club Arsenal for the remainder of the campaign, according to reports.

The 20-year-old striker spent the first half of the campaign with the Whites having joined on a season-long loan deal in the summer.

Nketiah, though, was recalled to North London following a lack of game time having made just two league starts under Marcelo Bielsa's watch in West Yorkshire.

The Gunners academy product made 19 appearances in all competitions for Leeds, scoring five goals before his return to the capital earlier this month.

Nketiah was due to be sent out on loan during the winter transfer window with United's Championship rivals Bristol City, Sheffield Wednesday and Nottingham Forest all keen on landing his signature.

Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta has now opted instead to keep the England Under-21s attacker with the Premier League outfit for the remainder of the season.
