Leeds United fell at the final hurdle of their Championship promotion race but can reflect on an excellent campaign this summer. Daniel Farke’s side racked up 90 points over 46 games, producing more than their fair share of outstanding performances and thrilling moments.
Leeds brought plenty of quality down with them from the Premier League but Farke was able to mould the team through a host of shrewd signings, pulling players in from top teams across Europe and taking advantage of loan options. But the recruitment process was not perfect and fans were left wanting more at times.
Overall, through the summer and January windows, Leeds welcomed 10 new players through the door and the YEP has attempted to rate each one out of 10. Take a look below to see if you agree.

7. Djed Spence: 3
Injury forced the attacking full-back to wait until December for a first start in defeat at Sunderland. Never managed to produce the form he did at Nottingham Forest and was sent back early in January, with Farke hinting at problems with application. | Getty Images

8. Glen Kamara: 7
A calming presence in midfield but snappy in the press at his best, particularly in big games against the likes of Leicester or Norwich. 'Snake hips' nickname was well earned and the partnership with Gruev was perfectly balanced. Goals, or lack of, the major issue and a reluctance to shoot was often frustrating. | Getty Images

9. Jaidon Anthony: 4
A late arrival to replace Bournemouth-bound Luis Sinisterra and unfortunate to be competing for minutes with the outstanding Crysencio Summerville. Showed moments of brilliance but will return to the south coast wishing he'd have been given more of a chance. | Getty Images

10. Connor Roberts: 4
Goal against Leicester could have been a defining moment if automatic promotion was achieved, and it kicked into gear an incredible night at Elland Road. As it was, injury issues came at the wrong time and two league starts was not enough to make a significant impact. | Getty Images
