Is Leeds United vs Wrexham on Saturday or Sunday morning UK time? Time difference and kick-off explained

The kick-off time for Leeds United’s first pre-season friendly is causing confusion.

The kick-off time for Leeds United’s first pre-season friendly against Wrexham is causing some confusion - so when exactly is it?

Daniel Farke’s Whites are flying out to the USA this week for a pre-season training camp and three friendlies against Liverpool, Sunderland and firstly Wrexham.

After arriving in the States, Leeds will take on Phil Parkinson’s Wrexham side at the Raymond James Stadium in Tampa on Saturday, July 25 in a 7.30pm kick-off local time.

But the five-hour time difference means the friendly has a different date of Sunday, July 26 UK time, the match kicking off in the early hours of Sunday morning UK time in starting at 12.30am due to the UK being five hours ahead.

Various posts on social media and indeed some fixture lists have the game kicking off on Saturday, July 25 in the UK, leading to some fans being confused as to whether or not the game takes place on Saturday or Sunday morning here in England.

But if you are in the UK then it’s a case of staying up late or setting alarms on Saturday night/early Sunday morning to catch up with the club’s first friendly of the summer.
