Leeds went to St Mary’s unbeaten in their last six games but a 3-1 defeat saw the Whites drop from sixth to ninth place in the Championship table. Leeds then dropped to 12th place through Tuesday evening’s results and the Whites are now three points adrift of the play-off places ahead of this evening’s 7.45pm kick-off against third-bottom QPR.

There is now an 11-point gap to the automatic promotion places with Leicester City second and a point behind leaders Ipswich Town although the Whites and Foxes both have a game in hand.

Here, upon landing at Elland Road, we will bring you all of the pre-match build-up and line-ups before match updates and analysis followed by reaction and recap.

How we expect Leeds to line up

At least with a victory tonight which very much feels needed after Saturday’s disappointment, especially where the automatic promotion chase is concerned as Ipswich Town and Leicester City continue to motor on. Leicester are at home to third placed Preston North End tonight. Leeds, currently 12th, are already 11 points behind the second-placed Foxes and 12 adrift of leaders Ipswich, albeit with a game in hand on the latter. Six points over these next four days really do feel like a must. A win might put Leeds fifth tonight if they can win by two clear goals and Norwich City slip up at Swansea City. Changes expected here, possibly as many as four of them. Rodon surely in and very likely Archie Gray too. Ayling must be a strong shout and so too Jaidon Anthony.
