Marcelo Bielsa has had two weeks to reflect on recent 4-1 defeats to league leaders Leicester City and Crystal Palace while Mikel Arteta's side have lost three of their last four league games, including a 3-0 home defeat against Aston Villa in their final outing before the international break.

It is the second time that Bielsa has faced Arsenal as the Whites manager, after taking his side to the Emirates Stadium for a third-round FA Cup tie in January. The Gunners emerged as 1-0 victors from that meeting.

Leeds United v Arsenal will be broadcast live on Sky Sports Premier League.

Kalvin Phillips is back in contention after overcoming a shoulder injury and is likely to start against the Gunners.

Club record signing Rodrigo has also been confirmed to be back available following his isolation after testing positive for coronavirus but Spanish international centre-back Diego Llorente remains sidelined while veteran playmaker Pablo Hernandez has picked up a muscular injury and will join Jamie Shackleton on the sidelines.

Arsenal have suffered an injury blow as midfielder Thomas Partey has been ruled out of this weekend's clash with a thigh strain.

The Gunners will also be without Mohamed Elneny and defender Sead Kolasinac on Sunday afternoon after both players tested positive for Covid-19.

Anthony Taylor will take charge of Sunday's meeting.

The Wythenshawe-born official was the man in the middle for the Whites' first Premier League fixture at Elland Road for 16 years when Marcelo Bielsa's side beat Fulham 4-3 in September.

The English official was also given the responsibility of refereeing the Super Cup Final between Bayern Munich and Sevilla. Stuart Attwell will be in charge of VAR for the fixture.
