Leeds United will be free to strengthen Daniel Farke’s squad when the January transfer window opens in two weeks. The Whites are expected to be active in the market having failed to add in every position they needed over the summer.
The YEP reported last week that it is currently rated ‘highly unlikely’ Leeds sign no one next month, with recruitment chiefs expected to explore the loan market. A creative right-winger was the summer priority but given Farke’s formation change and the growing importance of Dominic Calvert-Lewin, cover at No.9 feels equally important.
January is a notoriously difficult market to do business in and genuine options can be limited, but while Leeds might not find the perfect Calvert-Lewin back-up, someone is almost certainly better than risking it with no one. Below, the YEP has picked out 16 potential options from across Europe’s top five leagues and the Championship.
