Leeds have secured their second signature of the transfer window

Young Whites prospect Kris Moore has signed his first professional contract with Leeds United.

The 18-year-old signed a two-year scholarship at Thorp Arch in August 2020 and has since impressed for Under 23s side.

The promotion of Charlie Cresswell to Marcelo Bielsa’s senior squad has given Moore the chance to shine under Mark Jackson.

Now, the young centre-back has put pen to paper on a two-and-a-half year deal which will keep him at Leeds until 2024.

Arsenal boss quashes speculation over former Whites striker

Eddie Nketiah’s Arsenal contract is due to run out this summer.

The striker made 17 appearances for Leeds during the Whites’ Championship winning 2019/2020 season.

Nketiah has found limited first-team opportunities at the Emirates this season, prompting speculation that the 22-year-old might be leaving the Gunners, with links to South London side Crystal Palace reported.

But Arsenal head coach Mikel Arteta insists the attacker is staying.

“The situation is that Eddie is our player and Eddie is going to stay here with us,” he said.

“He is our player, he is under contract so he will stay with us.”
