Leeds battle for Ukrainian - report

Leeds United have been credited with interest in Shakhtar Donetsk defender Mykola Matviyenko.

According to 90min, Matviyenko, a Ukrainian international, is available for around £20m having helped Shakhtar to the semi-finals of the Europa League earlier this month. 

The Whites, alongside Everton, West Ham and Wolves are said  to be competing for his signature. 

There’s interest from abroad too with Napoli,  Monaco, RB Leipzig and Bayern Munich keeping close tabs on the 24-year-old. 

Brighton chief hails Leeds for White development

Brighton chief executive Paul Barber has hailed Leeds United's help in developing Ben White who he hopes to see "in blue and white stripes very soon."
