Sheffield United new favourites to sign Liverpool starlet

The Blades are desperate to sign a new striker to start banging in the goals, and the club have now been reinstated as the bookies' favourite to sign Liverpool youngster Rhian Brewster, ahead of Aston Villa and Crystal Palace.

Notably, the England youth sensation wasn't named in the Reds' squad to face Lincoln City in the Carabao Cup last night.

Italian reports back Leeds to land Pulgar

Reports from Italy, via Sports Witness, have suggested that Leeds United are closing in on a move for Fiorentina midfielder Erik Pulgar, who is currently not training with his club amid the Whites' apparent interest.

The Chile international was said to be the subject of a £10m bid from Leeds earlier in the month. He's played in Serie A for five seasons between Bologna and Fiorentina.

Leicester City and Aston Villa cash in on players

Leicester City have confirmed today that Malian winger Fousseni Diabate has left the club to join Turkish side Trabzonspor, in a deal thought to be worth around €2m.

Meanwhile, Villa have flogged flop striker Mbwana Samatta to Fenerbahce, on a loan deal with obligation-to-buy for a fee of £5.5m at the end of the current campaign.
