Whites no 9 Bamford donated £5,000 to Beeston Primary in January which enabled the Leeds school to purchase 20 new iPads.

The iPads were then loaned out to families so that education could continue remotely in the country's battle against Covid-19.

The youngsters taking part in the call will be using the tablets that were purchased thanks to the generosity of United's top scorer who will lead them out virtually on to the Elland Road pitch.

Mrs Tidey, deputy headteacher at Beeston Primary School, said: “As one of the closest schools to Elland Road Stadium, over the years we have developed strong and special links with the club and the Leeds United Foundation.

"We share the same vision for hard work, resilience and growth mindset and our work together has had a truly positive impact on pupils' attitudes to learning.

“Our relationship with Leeds United has been strengthened even further over lockdown by the incredible generosity and kindness of Patrick Bamford.

"His words of encouragement and kind gestures have kept many people going through this difficult time.

“The pupils and staff at Beeston Primary School are honoured to be given this amazing opportunity.

"The evening will bring plenty of smiles, excitement and memories which will no doubt last for ever.”
