The Bees toppled Swansea City 2-0 in the Championship play-off final at Wembley on Saturday afternoon.

Ex-Whites defender Pontus Jansson led out the Bees in the capital and it was Ivan Toney who opened the scoring from the spot in the 10th minute.

Thomas Frank's men then added to the scoreline in the 20th minute with a quick breakaway through Emiliano Marcondes.

The Swans were reduced to 10-men in the second half as Jay Fulton received a straight red card for a loose challenge which signalled the game was all but up for the Welsh outfit.

Marcelo Bielsa's men will now renew rivalries next season in the top flight with a side they beat to promotion in the 2019/20 campaign.

Brentford went on to lose the play-off final to Fulham after finishing in third place last season but bounced back to claim a place amongst England's elite this term.
