Supercomputer predicts Leeds United's new final points and position after Brentford draw and West Ham, Burnley & Wolves defeats
Statistical experts Opta have predicted where Leeds United will finish in the Premier League relegation battle.
Leeds United took another step forward in their Premier League survival bid thanks to Sunday’s 1-1 draw at Brentford. The Whites came from behind to claim a point for the second game running, with Dominic Calvert-Lewin cancelling out Jordan Henderson’s opener for his fourth goal in as many games.
Daniel Farke felt his side were good enough to enjoy a rare win on the road but one point increases the gap between Leeds and 18th-placed West Ham, who are now three adrift. There is an even bigger gap to Burnley and Wolves, who are now six and 14 points from safety respectively, with all of the current bottom three losing over the weekend.
Those results have proved enough for statistical experts Opta to make changes to their predicted Premier League table, with Leeds’ relegation odds improving after Sunday’s draw. Take a look below to see where they’re expected to finish and how many points they’ve been backed to get.
