Leeds United ‘still in race’ for player Wolves ‘really want’, Whites ‘make contact’ with Chelsea star

Leeds United continued their unbeaten start to the season with a 3-1 Carabao Cup win over Barnsley on Wednesday evening.

Goals from Luis Sinisterra and Mateusz Klich, who was on hand with a brace, were enough to send the Whites through to the next round.

An all-Premier-League clash with Wolves now awaits Jesse Marsch’s side in early November.

Wolves really want to sign Stuttgart striker Sasa Kalajdzic, and have held talks for the Austrian - although a deal has not been completed yet. Leeds United and Manchester United are also understood to still be in the race for the towering forward too. (Manuel Veth)

Tottenham are still “very interested” in signing Everton ace Anthony Gordon, according to Daily Star journalist Paul Brown.
