"One of the" - Roberto De Zerbi's Leeds United declaration with Whites praise and Tottenham target
Tottenham boss Roberto De Zerbi on Leeds United and Saturday’s Premier League clash at Elland Road.
Boss Roberto De Zerbi has made a Leeds United admission ahead of Saturday’s trip to Elland Road with Whites praise but confidence in his Tottenham target.
De Zerbi’s side began the new Premier League season by going six games without a victory but Spurs are now heading for West Yorkshire very much in form having since won their last three.
De Zerbi, though, believes Elland Road now presents one of the toughest grounds in the country’s top flight, the Spurs boss praising Daniel Farke’s side but with a confidence that his own team have the right qualities to achieve their target of playing well and getting the right result.
"The focus is (solely) on Leeds,” said De Zerbi at his pre-match press conference, as quoted by football.london.
“A very tough game. One of the toughest stadiums in the Premier League with the atmosphere of the fans.
“We can’t forget the beginning of the season and the last season as well.
"The intensity of Leeds is great, especially at home. They have a clear style of play. Not many teams defend as five but build up with four, especially on the right side. But we have the right qualities to play a good game. Our target is to play well and get the right result."
