Leeds United manager Daniel Farke plans to rotate the players in his starting XI over the Christmas period.

The German said it was no secret he would swap certain players in his starting line-up over the next couple of matches due to the quick turnaround between fixtures. Farke admitted he was unlikely to have any days off over the festive period, as the team prepare for games with Preston North End, West Bromwich Albion and Birmingham City over the next eight days.

Leeds have remained unchanged in several of their recent outings, but that being the case at Deepdale or The Hawthorns appears decidedly improbable given Farke’s comments and attention to detail when it comes to player workload and sports science.

Here is the YEP’s predicted XI to face Preston North End on Boxing Day.

Djed Spence could be given the nod at his preferred right-back position on Boxing Day as he gains momentum and rhythm from consecutive starts on the opposite flank. Archie Gray appeared to be carrying a knock at full-time against Ipswich and was consulted by head of medicine and performance Rob Price at the mouth of the tunnel as he made his way from the field. Could see him being rested for one game.Djed Spence could be given the nod at his preferred right-back position on Boxing Day as he gains momentum and rhythm from consecutive starts on the opposite flank. Similar to Meslier, Joe Rodon's name is one of the first on the teamsheet this season and he's not one who appears to have been struggling with fatigue either, so expect him to remain in the line-up.Similar to Meslier, Joe Rodon's name is one of the first on the teamsheet this season and he's not one who appears to have been struggling with fatigue either, so expect him to remain in the line-up.
