Goals from Raphinha and Jack Harrison in either half were enough to lift Marcelo Bielsa's outfit to a 2-1 victory despite Miguel Almiron getting on the scoresheet for Steve Bruce's hosts.

United's players took to social media after the game to dedicate the three points to the club's Head of Medicine.

No details were revealed but Leeds' first team squad were unified in their support for the Whites physio.

Club captain Liam Cooper led the tributes: "When one suffers we all suffer. Condolences to Rob and his family. That was for you and yours mate."
