Leeds United player ratings vs Brighton with 'smart' pair of 8s, raft of 7s but 3 for the ref

Leeds United left the Amex with a hard-earned point on Saturday.

Leeds United extended their unbeaten run to a fourth game thanks to Saturday’s 1-1 draw at Brighton. Jayden Bogle’s first-half goal was cancelled out by Luka Vuskovic with the spoils shared at the Amex.

The Whites took an early lead inside 15 minutes when Bogle turned in from close range, following good chances for Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Ao Tanaka seconds before. Calvert-Lewin then saw an effort cleared off the line while James Trafford made a couple of smart saves to keep it at 1-0 going into the break.

Leeds thought they’d doubled their lead through Ao Tanaka early in the second-half but after a delay, he was ruled offside. It was the hosts who eventually got their leveller, Vuskovic heading home at the back post from an inswinging corner. Brighton piled on the pressure but the Whites held on to claim another good point.
