Leeds United’s Roses derby against arch rivals Manchester United at Elland Road ultimately ended in a 1-1 draw - but how did we rate the performances?
A clattering early challenge from Ethan Ampadu on Carlos Baleba looked to be setting the tone but Leeds were unable to create any big chances, the only real opportunity falling to Nico Elvedi whose header from an Anton Stach free-kick was saved.
After initially struggling to get out, the Red Devils gradually began to cause more of a a threat and Michael Carrick’s side went ahead in the 35th minute through Bryan Mbeumo who got away from James Justin to convert a cross from Youri Tielemans who himself had got in behind Tarik Muharemovic.
The visitors took their 1-0 lead into the break but Elland Road erupted as Leeds levelled shortly after the restart through Dominic Calvert-Lewin who smashed the ball home from close range following Muharemovic’s knock down of an Anton Stach corner.
Leeds United writer Lee Sobot hands out the scores.

7. Ethan Ampadu
6 - Set the tone with a crunching early challenge but also caught Mbeumo and lucky not to be booked early on. Finally got a yellow card towards the end and kept battling away but without the midfield ever being in control. | Getty Images

8. Ao Tanaka
6 - Bit of a mixed bag in the middle, tried to make things happen but without much joy. Kept beavering away and a bit of a nearly display but with loads of energy and effort. | Getty Images

9. Anton Stach
5 - Started quite brightly but again too quiet and not involved enough. Corner led to the equaliser but it didn't really provide the platform for lift off and chances went begging including a weak shot saved and a flick that didn't come off. | Getty Images

10. Noah Okafor
5 - Too quiet in the first half and not close enough to Calvert-Lewin. Heavy touches ended breaks down the left in the first half. Better after the break but couldn't slip in Calvert-Lewin as a big chance went begging. Unlike at Old Trafford, not his day. | Getty Images

11. Dominic Calvert-Lewin
7 - The usual strong hold up play but didn't get much change out of Maguire. But typically strong play for the equaliser. | Getty Images

12. Lukas Nmecha (sub)
6 - On for the final 15 mins and put himself about. Didn't look like the Man Utd defence particularly enjoyed him being on. | Getty Images
