Sixteen-year-old Leeds scholars Cian Coleman and Ben Andreucci will both be assessed, along with 34 others the Football Association of Ireland are keen to look at.

The three-day camp at Loughborough University will allow head coach Tom Mohan to cast his eye over players with eligibility after an 18-month period with fixtures. The last time his Under 19s took to the field was a November 2019 UEFA Under-19 Championship defeat to Austria.

Local lad Coleman initially played as a striker before moving back into central midfield, but can also feature at centre-back. He got on the scoresheet in the Under 18s' FA Youth Cup thrashing of MK Dons earlier this season and was an unused substitute when Leeds took on Accrington Stanley in the EFL Trophy, 15 days before his 16th birthday.

Andreucci, who was once called up by England Under 15s and has already been capped four times by Scotland at Under 16 level, joined Leeds from Doncaster Rovers. The striker scored on his Under 18s debut last year, while still aged 15. Last year during lockdown he raised over £1,300 for Doncaster's Firefly Cancer Awareness And Support charity, running 150km in three weeks.

Leeds' Category One academy already boasts a number of youth internationals, including Coleman and Andreucci's team-mates Scott Godden and Ronnie McGrath, capped for Wales Under 16s and England Under 16s respectively. Godden and McGrath, who recently featured in an BBC MOTDx challenge, played against each other in an international friendly last month.
