England toppled France 2-0 at a sold out Wembley stadium in their final group stage outing.

A double from Roger Hunt ensured the Three Lions left with all the points as he struck in both halves.

Sir Alf Ramsey's men went on to secure passage into the knockout rounds with the win before charging to the final with wins over Argentina and Portugal.

England lifted the trophy for the only time in the nations history with a 4-2 win over West Germany at Wembley in front of near 100,000 crowd.
