Leeds United midfielder Kalvin Phillips bags second England call next to three new faces for Three Lions

LEEDS United midfielder Kalvin Phillips has secured his second call-up to Gareth Southgate's England squad for this month's clashes against Wales, Belgium and Denmark.

Phillips gained his first call-up to the Three Lions squad ahead of last month's contests against Iceland and Denmark with the 24-year-old handed his international debut in starting from the off and playing 76 minutes against the Danes in Copenhagen.

Phillips has now kept his place in the squad ahead of a busy month for England who host a friendly against Wales on Thursday, October 8 before the visit of Belgium in a Nations League clash on Sunday October 11.

England then entertain Denmark in another Nations League match on Wednesday, October 14.

Everton's Dominic Calvert-Lewin, Arsenal's Bukayo Saka and Leicester City's Harvey Barnes have all been called up for the first time whilst Manchester United captain Harry Maguire has also returned to the squad but Mason Greenwood and Phil Foden have both been left out.

Boss Gareth Southgate said: "We would be looking at pretty much all of the squad getting game time ideally. We want to see players and we want to learn things from the matches."
