Phillips played the full duration of Thursday evening's 5-0 cruise against minnows San Marino at Wembley as Three Lions boss Gareth Southgate shuffled his pack against the worst ranked nation in the world.

West Ham United midfielder Declan Rice stayed on the bench for the San Marino clash and now comes back into the side but Phillips also keeps his place for the second of two World Cup qualifiers in the space of a week.
