Leeds United midfielder Jack Jenkins has agreed fresh terms at Elland Road.

The 18-year-old put pen to paper on his first professional deal with the Whites in January but has now extended his contract with the club until the summer of 2023.

Jenkins has made five appearances for Mark Jackson’s Under-18s side this season but has also stepped up into Carlos Corberan’s Under-23s outfit as he continues his development at Thorp Arch.

The highly-rated central midfielder has featured eight times for the Spaniard and has now been rewarded with a new deal following a good run of form.

Fellow Under-23 players Bryce Hosannah, Pascal Struijk and Kun Temenuzhkov recently agreed new deals with the club with Jenkins becoming the latest academy graduate to commit his immediate future to West Yorkshire.

United’s development team entertain Sheffield United on Friday afternoon (12pm) in Professional Development League action at the club’s training ground.

Arsenal loanee Eddie Nketiah is expected to feature against the Blades as he steps up his return following a lower abdomen injury picked up last month.
