Fans who purchased a membership will have the chance to apply for a small percentage of tickets for home games should the opportunity arise, it has been confirmed.

Leeds has entered Tier 3 government restrictions today (December 2) following the easing of a second national lockdown ahead of the festive period.

The current guidelines in place mean that home games at Elland Road will remain behind closed doors for the foreseeable future.

Fans in Tier 1 and Tier 2 areas will be allowed back into stadiums at a reduced capacity across the football pyramid.

Marcelo Bielsa's side are set to play in front of 2,000 fans at Stamford Bridge this weekend when they travel to the capital to face Chelsea in the Premier League.

A statement said: "Due to the current Covid-19 pandemic and games so far having taken place behind-closed-doors, we recognise supporters have been unable to take advantage of some benefits being a member offers.

"However, we are still hopeful that members will have the opportunity to apply for tickets for some matches this season and accordingly all 2020/21 memberships will remain active for the remainder of the season.

"We can confirm an allocation of tickets will be reserved for 2020/21 members for each home league fixture where fans can return at a reduced capacity. The size of the allocation will be dependent on the capacity available."

Due to the expected limited availability of tickets on offer for members at any future fixtures, those who have purchased a membership are eligible for an e-gift voucher as compensation.

Adults have been allocated £20 while juniors have £10 to spend with the club.

Leeds are yet to make any announcement over how they intend to deal with current season ticket holders amid the ongoing restrictions.
