"Don't make it clear" - Leeds United fans in disagreement on Man United clash with uncertain position take
Leeds United’s fans on Sunday’s clash against arch rivals Manchester United at Elland Road.
Leeds United will look to beat arch rivals Manchester United at Elland Road for the first time since 2002 in Sunday’s Premier League clash at Elland Road - but what do the club’s fans think?
Here is what our YEP Jury have had to say including disagreement on the predictions front.
NEIL GREWER
For Leeds supporters this is the most-eagerly anticipated game of the season. And this season for very good reasons.
The opposition are not playing well. They are not functioning as a unit and look short on confidence plus they have European distractions to contend with.
Their supporters are not a happy bunch. Oh dear! Contrast this with Leeds who are playing as a team, working for the collective good, are full of confidence and have a manager willing to change tactics, and players, in search of a result.
In summary, a great time for Leeds to play this opposition.
Daniel Farke has a pretty settled starting XI with probably only one midfield position being uncertain with contenders being Ao Tanaka, Harry Wilson or Brenden Aaronson and selection depending upon game tactics.
The bench is strong with those not included in the first XI, plus Jean-Matteo Bahoya Lukas Nmecha, and Dan James giving attacking options.
This is a squad capable of winning this game and Leeds will unusually start as favourites, however as always with football, what happens on the day can surprise all evidence and pundits.
Prediction: Leeds United 2 Manchester United 1.

After their great performance at Arsenal, the Whites are rewarded with a visit from Manchester United.
Our cross-Pennine neighbours have had an underwhelming start to the season with just one Premier League win back in August against Ipswich Town.
To make matters worse they were beaten on Tuesday night by Atletico Madrid and so it’s clear that they will not be looking forward to their trip to Elland Road.
Unless they improve soon, Michael Carrick will be polishing up his CV and joining a growing number of his illustrious predecessors.
Nevertheless. Man United are still a formidable opponent and Daniel Farke will be aiming to continue to inject his charges with his unique blend of confidence and humility.
Leeds fans and players won’t need reminding that it is 24 years since they last beat Man Utd at Elland Road so avoiding complacency should not be an issue.
A lot of unwanted records have been broken in the last couple of years so why shouldn’t this be one of them?
Prediction: Leeds United 2 Manchester United 1.
EVAN SEAMAN
This weekend Leeds United host Manchester United at Elland Road which will undoubtedly be a lively fixture in a battle of the Roses.
One more bad result could seal Man United manager Michael Carrick’s fate as they have made their worst start to a season in over 40 years and currently sit in 13th in the league table.
Whereas for Leeds, they have surpassed all expectations so far and are still unbeaten and seventh in the table.
In terms of team news, Joe Rodon is unfortunately still injured, and Dan James is also touch and go after recovering from a lower back issue.
The Red Devils do not currently have any injury concerns, so they will be hoping attacking players like Bruno Fernandes and Matheus Cunha can kick-start their season.
A key player for Leeds could be Gabriel Gudmundsson who looks solid at left-back at present and provided a brilliant assist for James Justin’s goal last week against Arsenal.
So, the Whites will be looking to reproduce last season’s impressive result when they beat Man United 2-1 at Old Trafford.
Prediction: Leeds United 3 Manchester United 2.

The defeat at Arsenal was a reality check, reminding us that, good as we’ve been, we still have a long way to go before we can compete with the very best.
As we eye another game against them from over the hill, the inevitable question is: “How good are they?”
Their results so far this season don’t make it clear. Many commentators have suggested they’ve had a poor start, and, by their lofty standards, that’s probably true, but they’ve also had some tough games.
Hull City beat them 2-0 on opening day, then walloped another newbie, Ipswich, 5-2. Then a 1-1 draw at Fulham and a narrow 0-1 defeat to their Manchester rivals didn’t look too bad.
Their two most recent league games were also draws, home against Spurs and away at unbeaten Everton.
On Tuesday, though, they went to Atletico Madrid in the Champions League and, though they lost 2-0 and had a man sent off, they arguably should have won if they’d been more clinical in front of goal.
They are in disarray off the pitch after Lisandro Martinez’s comments about his own club this week, but I’m convinced they will dig deep to avoid any embarrassment at Elland Road.
Prediction: Leeds United 1 Manchester United 1.
KEITH INGHAM
After running Arsenal close, Leeds return to Elland Road to lock ‘horns’ with their old enemy from across the Pennines.
As most fans know, there is no love lost between these two sides, and both teams understand the importance of this fierce ‘War of the Roses’ rivalry.
Alarm bells are already ringing for Michael Carrick, who took charge of United in the summer after initially stepping in as interim manager following Ruben Amorim’s sacking after last season’s 1-1 draw with Leeds.
If results don’t improve soon, Carrick may struggle to last the month. They lost in the Champions League 2-0 at Atletico Madrid to heap more pressure on him.
Hopefully, Daniel Farke will have a full squad to choose from. At the moment, the team seems to pick itself, with Joe Rodon sidelined through injury and summer signing Harry Wilson still seemingly struggling to adapt to Leeds’ playing style.
After an impressive 60 minutes at Arsenal, I’m hoping Leeds will be right in the faces of their old rivals from the first whistle.
An early goal would put even more pressure on an underperforming Man United side and get Elland Road rocking.
If Leeds can maintain that intensity and take their chances, I can see them winning by a couple of goals.
Prediction: Leeds United 2 Manchester United 1.
