Huge triple boost as Daniel Farke names attacking Leeds United team at Man United

Leeds United team news is in for tonight’s Premier League clash against Manchester United at Old Trafford is in.

Whites boss Daniel Farke has named his Leeds United team for tonight’s huge Premier League clash against fierce rivals Manchester United at Old Trafford which features a massive triple boost.

Anton Stach and Joe Rodon had already been ruled out of the contest with ankle injuries suffered in last weekend’s FA Cup quarter-final victory at West Ham, Farke admitting it is probably unrealistic to expect either back this month. Winger Dan James also remains sidelined with an adductor strain suffered in a session before the cup quarter-final.

Doubts also surrounded Gabi Gudmundsson (groin), Jaka Bijol (knock) and Noah Okafor (back) but Gudmundsson, Bijol and Okafor all start, Okafor forming part of an attacking front three along with Brenden Aaronson and Dominic Calvert-Lewin.

Brighton loanee attacker Facundo Buonanotte also gets a rare place on the bench.

World Cup-bound Sweden star Gudmundsson came back from international duty with light groin problems and missed last weekend’s cup clash at West Ham but the left back was reportedly making light progress this week.

Bijol and Okafor both started against the Hammers but Bijol was feeling the effects of a knock this week and had not trained as of Thursday.

Okafor, meanwhile, was substituted midway through the second half at the London Stadium after going down injured although Farke hoped it was just a case of cramp.

The winger, though, missed training on Thursday due to struggling with some back problems.

Farke said at Thursday’s pre-match press conference that all three would have been unavailable had the game been on Friday.

Farke, though, was hoping that all three would be back by virtue of having a few more days to recover and all three start in a massive triple boost.
