United’s campaign finally ended three weeks after the regular Championship season had finished via a 1-0 defeat to Southampton in the Championship play-off final of Sunday, May 26. But the first full week of June presents a tranche of internationals ahead of this summer’s big international tournaments, notably the Euros, although three Whites players have pulled out of their squads.
Glen Kamara is a regular for Finland yet the midfielder is suffering from a leg problem and is not part of the current squad. Last season’s Wales loanee pair Joe Rodon and Connor Roberts, meanwhile, have also pulled out of the Dragons squad after their gruelling campaigns.
Willy Gnonto is another Whites international not in action, having not been named in either the senior Italy squad or the under-21s set-up for the Tournoi Maurice Revello Group Stage. Leeds have a host of other under-21s internationals but the majority of under-21s sides do not play again until September. But almost full team of Whites men are in senior international duty this week and, here, we run through who plays when and how to watch.
