Leeds United in talks for Rennes winger Raphinha as they target final transfer window signings
Leeds United are in talks for a deal to bring Brazilian winger Raphinha to the Premier League from Rennes as they attempt to complete their summer transfer window business.
The YEP understands that a move for the 23-year-old is possible before Monday night's deadline.
He only joined the French top flight side last summer after two seasons with Sporting CP in Portugal. Prior to that he spent three years at Vitória de Guimarães.
This season he has two assists in five outings, adding to the nine goals and five assists he registered last season in 35 appearances.
Leeds could be in for a busy 48 final hours in the window, with a couple of deals still in the pipeline.
Marcelo Bielsa has wanted to bolster his wide options and Leeds have been consistently linked with Daniel James of Manchester United, a player who would have become a White on deadline day in January 2019, had Swansea not pulled the plug on the move at the very last minute. The interest in James remains, but a move may yet depend on the Old Trafford outfit's ability to bring someone in.
