The YEP understands that a move for the 23-year-old is possible before Monday night's deadline.
He only joined the French top flight side last summer after two seasons with Sporting CP in Portugal. Prior to that he spent three years at Vitória de Guimarães.
This season he has two assists in five outings, adding to the nine goals and five assists he registered last season in 35 appearances.
Leeds could be in for a busy 48 final hours in the window, with a couple of deals still in the pipeline.
