A Leeds United star has shared an update on his recovery after an injury setback.
Leeds United midfielder Ilia Gruev has shared an update on his road back from a meniscus knee injury.
Bulgarian international midfielder had been enjoying a decent amount of starts in the Whites midfield in the second half of the campaign but the 26-year-old’s end to the season was cut short as he suffered a meniscus knee injury in training.
Boss Daniel Farke revealed the news ahead of United’s FA Cup semi-final against Chelsea, stating that Gruev’s season was definitely over but that the Bulgarian was expected back for pre-season.
Two and a half months have now passed since Gruev suffered his injury and the midfielder has taken to his Instagram page to share an update in his road to recovery.
The Bulgarian posted a series of photos from Athens including one of him on an exercise bike and another clip of him running on a treadmill together with the caption “rehab”, indicating that he was well on the road to recovery.
