"I think for me" - Harry Wilson on first few months as a Leeds United player, squad declaration and new boys

Harry Wilson on settling in at Leeds United.

Harry Wilson has saluted a big connection in assessing how he’s settled into life as a Leeds United player with a declaration about the squad’s fellow new boys.

Wilson ended five years with Fulham when joining Leeds on a free transfer in the summer, the Wales international winger having become a free agent upon his contract at Fulham expiring.

The 29-year-old is now just over three months into life as a Leeds United player and the winger says his connection with United’s fellow Wales international players has helped him settle in at Elland Road.

Wilson says the overall nature of United’s group and squad togetherness has also helped the club’s fellow summer signings settle in, the ex-Fulham star now declaring the aim for the club to have a strong season in his first year at the club.

Speaking on the Listen to The Chris Moyles Show on Radio X Wilson was asked if he had settled in and said: “I think for me, it helped having the Welsh boys, we’ve got a big connection here so that really helped me but I think the other lads that are signed, and the group from abroad, I think because we’ve got such a good group here it’s been easy for them to join the group and I’m really settling well.

“A lot of the boys speak German and I think that might make them feel more at home because they can connect a bit better but we’ve got a really strong group and the lads that have come in have done really well, they’ve settled well and we’re all together, all united and we’re looking to have a really good season.”
