1. The EFL take action over the coronavirus fears
EFL have said pre-match handshakes between both teams and officials will not take place until further notice because of fears over the spread of coronavirus. They join the Premier League and National League in making that decision.
2. Its a big weekend at the bottom
This weekend could prove to be a defining one in terms of the relegation picture. Luton Town and Wigan Athletic face off, Charlton Athletic host Middlesbrough while Stoke City welcome free-falling Hull City.
3. Late surge for the play-offs, anyone?
Preston are 6th with 56 points but Bristol City (54), Blackburn Rovers (53), Swansea City (52), Millwall (51) and Cardiff City (51) are all in with a shout from now until the end of the season.
4. Contract talks continue at Hillsborough
Sheffield Wednesday manager Garry Monk believes contract talks between the club, Steven Fletcher and Morgan Fox are going well. Monk insists Fox, in particular, wants to stay at Hillsborough.
5. Pressure on at Brentford?
Failure to seal promotion this season for the Bees will likely see them lose the likes of Said Benrahma and Ollie Watkins. The latter recently admitted it is his dream to play in the Premier League - with Arsenal.
6. Nottingham Forest tipped to fall short
Sabri Lamouchis men will apply some pressure on the top two if they beat Millwall tonight but either way, former midfielder Lee Hendrie believes Forest will have to settle for a play-off campaign.
