Leeds United following medical advice and training from home amidst coronavirus pandemic

LEEDS UNITED'S first-team squad are now training from home on the back of medical advice over the coronavirus outbreak.

None of United's squad or staff have tested positive for COVID-19 or shown symptoms of the virus but United have taken the decision to effectively follow government advice and work from home where possible.

United's players have all had their own gym gear and equipment sent to their houses with a training programme and diet plan.

Players will weigh-in every morning and submit body fat and weight details with the EFL season currently postponed until at least Friday, April 3.

Leeds will follow this approach for seven days and then reassess.

The EFL will hold a board meeting on Wednesday to discuss plans for the remainder of the campaign.

UEFA have already postponed this summer's European Championships which will now be held in 2021 to allow league campaigns to be concluded this summer.

UEFA are aiming to have all league campaigns concluded by June 30 "should the situation improve and resuming playing be appropriate and prudent enough".

Officials from all 20 Premier League clubs will hold an emergency meeting on Thursday to discuss their plans.
