Patrick Bamford has received some constructive criticism from Ian Wright following the Whites 3-0 loss to Jose Mourinho’s Tottenham Hotspur this weekend.

The former Middlesbrough and Chelsea striker has netted 10 times in the Premier League so far this campaign.

However, Bamford was guilty of missing the Whites’ best chance against Spurs as Leeds created few clear-cut opportunities.

“When you look at Patrick Bamford, who’s having a great season, this is the kind of thing he’s got to step up more,” Wright said on Match of the Day.

“This is somebody that wants to make the near post but he’s hoping that something happens for him in that instance. He’s got to go there with a lot more drive and determination.”

The result leaves Leeds 12th in the Premier League with 23 points from 17 games and nine points clear of Brighton in 18th place.
