The idea for his amazing LUFC display started last year when he couldn't find Christmas lights that twinkled.

Since then, he has spent a huge amount of time building a Matrix and lit up tree and programming the commands for the commentary and lights.

The lights display contains commentary from Leeds United's famous victory at Old Trafford - with star striker Beckford bagging the famous winner.

Despite the display being Richard's "first attempt", he has received plaudits from across social media as Leeds United fans praise his work.

"So I starting looking into custom lights and how to make them.

"It has been a lot of work since then building the Matrix and the tree and working out how to program it all and get it all talking together."

The display also flashes along to chant Marching On Together.

Richard added: "Once I had it all running I thought the best place to start was with the Marching on together, my whole family are huge Leeds fans and all live in Leeds, I thought as we are unable to visit due to Covid this was a good way to spread some joy and share our love for the best team in the world.

"This was my very first attempt at a display and putting lights to music.

"I know it needs work and is far from perfect but it was a fun learning curve and now I know more next year it will be a lot bigger and better."
