Finishing in the top 10 was beyond the wildest dreams of most and remaining unbeaten against the so-called 'big six' at Elland Road said so much about the spirit with which they attacked the top flight.
We rated each player in each game throughout the 2020/21 campaign.
Almost every player improved his rating with what he did in the second half of the season, Leeds rediscovering the defensive solidity that underpinned their Championship title.
Some scores will be skewed slightly by circumstance, like Patrick Bamford's lack of involvement in the periods in which the Whites' struggled to attack as well as they usually do, or Diego Llorente's return to action in a really good spell for the club, and the ratings were always delivered just after the full-time whistle on a first take, but viewed across the squad they tell a story.
Here, we've worked out the average score for each individual squad member based across all 38 Premier League games from our post-match ratings.

13. Pablo Hernandez - 6.6
A frustrating season. Didn't get the game time he wanted so couldn't make the impact he's capable of. A parting seemed inevitable. Pulled the strings in his farewell game. An incredible player and servant.

14. Helder Costa - 6.2
Struggled to impose himself, especially once Raphinha came in. Didn't seem to have the physical fight needed in certain games. Showed glimpses of his skill.

15. Raphinha 7.2
A star was born. Came in and made the right wing berth his own. Devastating attacking play, a work rate that helped the team and tricks and skill to entertain. Signing of the season, bargain of the decade?

16. Ian Poveda 6.4
Glimpses. Hints. Flashes. We didn't see too much of the winger and when we did we didn't see enough of what he did against Manchester City at home. Reduced to cameos in the main. Still just a youngster.

17. Jack Harrison - 6.5
A solid season. Barring a little dip he was pretty consistent throughout. Proved he has end product at the top level, starting at Anfield in the first game. Will become a permanent signing in the coming weeks.

18. Tyler Roberts - 6.5
Enjoyed a long spell in the team in the second half of the season and did enough to show he's worth sticking with. Needs to add more consistent end product but could yet be a top player.
