Elland Road played a major part in Leeds United’s Premier League survival last season and is sure to do so again in 2026/27. Daniel Farke’s side relied heavily on home form towards their 14th-placed finish with a string of huge wins against the likes of Chelsea, Crystal Palace and Brighton.
It’s an exciting summer ahead for Leeds, with construction work intensifying as plans for the expansion of Elland Road progress. The stadium might start to look different next season but it might still be some time before any major chances to the maximum capacity, which is set to increase towards 53,000 by 2030.
For now, Elland Road sits around mid-table in terms of capacity but few would argue against it being top for atmosphere. Below, the YEP looks at where the famous ground ranks among its Premier League rivals, including newly-promoted Coventry City, Ipswich Town and Hull City.
