Leeds United are in the early weeks of another important transfer window as Elland Road chiefs look to build on last season’s 14th-place Premier League finish. Chairman Paraag Marathe recently outlined the club’s ambitions to provide genuine first-team quality for manager Daniel Farke with one new face already through the door.
Harry Wilson signed a four-year contract following his Fulham exit earlier this month, with Leeds finally getting their man 10 months after a collapsed deadline day move last summer. And after losing Pascal Struijk to Brighton, they took a big step towards sourcing his replacement on Tuesday night.
Leeds still need a clear first-choice goalkeeper and appear keen to strengthen in central midfield, while competition is needed across the board. Below, the YEP has drawn up a potential starting-XI for next season should Elland Road chiefs land top targets in key positions.

1. Dream Leeds United XI
Let's take a look how Leeds United could line up next season if a couple of recent transfer targets are landed.

2. GK: James Trafford
Leeds are close to agreeing a club-record £40m deal for the Man City goalkeeper, who is believed to be keen on a move to Elland Road. It's been quiet for a few days regarding the 23-year-old but hope remains he can become the Whites' most expensive ever player. | Getty Images

3. CB: Joe Rodon
Only Ethan Ampadu played more Premier League minutes than Rodon last season, with the Welshman virtually ever-present for three years at Leeds now. He waved goodbye to promotion-winning partner Pascal Struijk last month. | Getty Images

4. CB: Jaka Bijol
The Slovenian was made to wait for his opportunity last season but took it when it came. Settled into that central centre-back role really nicely, bullying opposition strikers most weeks. | AFP via Getty Images

5. CB: Tarik Muharemovic
Leeds agreed a £34m deal for the 23-year-old defender last month to replace Pascal Struijk. It's early days but Thursday night's pre-season debut vs Sunderland was hugely promising. | Getty Images

6. RWB: Jayden Bogle
Bogle enjoyed a fantastic season back in the Premier League with Leeds, his 32 starts bettered only by three teammates. James Justin could feasibly come in when more defensive solidity is required. | Getty Images
