The Whites were picked out of the hat by Robbie Savage during tonight's draw and will take on John Yems' side on the weekend of Saturday 9 January 2021.

Leeds won the competition in 1972, beating Arsenal 1-0 at Wembley thanks to Allan Clarke's goal and have been beaten finalists on three occasions. Their last appearance in the final came in 1973.

Recently, the FA Cup has proved difficult for the Whites, who have won just five ties since January 2011.

Last season they exited in the third round despite a superb first-half performance against Arsenal at the Emirates. The then-Championship side dominated their Premier League hosts, fashioning a number of good chances and hitting the bar through Patrick Bamford before conceding a second half Reiss Nelson winner. After the game Gunners boss Mikel Arteta likened a game against Leeds to a trip to the dentist.

"They are a nightmare for every team to play," he said.

"I said before the game, to play against them is like going to the dentist. It's tough. They make it really hard. They are a great team."

On this day in 2008 Gary McAllister's League One Leeds travelled to Blue Square Premier League Histon in the second round of the FA Cup and suffered one of the club's most infamous defeats.

Histon entered the clash on a seven-game winning streak and sit second in the table and although Leeds twice went close through Lubo Michalik they failed to handle the hosts' direct style of play.

Matthew Langston, a part-time post man, bagged the decisive goal just before the half-time whistle as he bundled home a cross and for the first time in the club's long history they had been beaten by non-league opposition.

"We're a third-division side and we looked like a third-division team," said McAllister after the game. "No one can say we were out-fought, but we lacked quality."
