Leeds United defender Leif Davis has returned to training following a knee operation in late January.

The 20-year-old full-back could be spotted out on the grass in the club's latest LUTV video update from Thorp Arch just over a month on from undergoing the knife.

Davis has been a key figure in Carlos Corberan's Under-23s side since joining the club from Morecambe in 2018 and has made 10 first team appearances in all competitions.

January signing Ian Poveda also featured heavily in the pre-match glimpse into training, with the Whites preparing themselves for the visit of Yorkshire neighbours Huddersfield Town this weekend.

The former Manchester City winger is yet to be handed his debut since joining the Elland Road ranks and has failed to be named in Marcelo Bielsa's last six matchday squads, a run which dates back to February 1.

Leeds are also waiting on the fitness of striker Jean-Kevin Augustin, after it was revealed he had suffered a hamstring strain which saw him miss Championship victories over Middlesbrough and Hull City last week.

Augustin - who joined United on loan from Bundesliga outfit RB Leipzig in the winter transfer window - has made three substitute appearances for the club since his arrival but is yet to be handed his full debut in West Yorkshire.

United's only other senior injury concern is midfielder Adam Forshaw, who has already been ruled out for the rest of the season after undergoing an operation in the United States in a bid to bring issues with a problematic hip injury to an end.

Bielsa's side entertain the Terriers in LS11 on Saturday afternoon, and will be looking to maintain a five-point advantage over third-place Fulham in the race for automatic promotion to the Premier League with 10 games remaining.

United's head coach will give a full injury update in his pre-match press conference, which is due to take place at the club's training ground on Thursday lunchtime.
