Bamford became injured after jumping for a challenge with Chelsea s Antonio Rudiger in the 29th minute.
The striker was clearly struggling but attempted to play on before going down in the Whites box on the half hour mark.
Chelsea eventually kicked the ball out to allow Bamford to receive treatment and the forward gingerly hobbled off the pitch before re-entering and attempting to play on.
