The Spanish midfielder limped out of action after just sixty seconds of the 2-1 defeat in the capital having pulled up during the Whites first attack at Craven Cottage.

Asked for an update over his health on Monday lunchtime, Bielsa confirmed: "He'll be out for one month. It was an injury in his hamstring."

The Argentine, though, delivered some positive news in the form of Tyler Roberts and Jamie Shackleton who are back in training ahead of the Boxing Day visit of Preston North End.

Bielsa also confirmed Barry Douglas is missing through illness while there is still no time frame over Adam Forshaw's return.

"Tyler (Roberts) and (Jamie) Shackleton are available," he said.

"(Barry) Douglas is sick. (Adam) Forshaw we still don't know when he will come back to the group."

Bielsa is expected to start Stuart Dallas in the centre of midfield against Alex Neil's outfit while Gjanni Alioski will move to left-back from the bench.
