Jayden Bogle update as Leeds United boss Daniel Farke holds pre-Newcastle United press conference live

Jayden Bogle joined the Leeds United list of absentees against Manchester United.

Leeds United face another swift return to action with Wednesday night’s clash against Newcastle United at St James’ Park - ahead of which boss Daniel Farke provides fresh team news today.

Farke already had Dan James (hamstring), Joe Rodon (ankle) and Sean Longstaff (calf) out injured plus captain Ethan Ampadu suspended but news of a new absentee then presented itself upon Sunday’s hosting of Manchester United.

First choice right back Jayden Bogle was missing from the matchday squad for the first time this season, the right-back suffering from a minor calf issue.

Farke then said post-match that he hoped Bogle would be back on Wednesday night.

Farke did, however, have Longstaff back on his bench earlier than expected on Sunday on his recovery from his calf injury although the Whites boss said post-match that the midfielder was essentially named on his bench as he wanted his maturity in the dressing room.

Either way, at least one definite big boost will present for Wednesday night’s quick return to action at Newcastle for which captain Ampadu will be be back available after serving his one-match ban for amassing five yellow cards before the cut off point.

Ahead of the trip to St James’ Park, Farke is holding his pre-match press conference at 4pm on Monday afternoon where a Bogle update but also the Rodon, James and Longstaff latest will be top of the list. We will bring you all of the top news here.
