Leeds United’s fans have had to wait a long time to see their team in competitive action at Elland Road so of course the club’s brilliant supporters made the absolute most of it against Sunday’s visitors Brentford.
Up until the weekend, United’s fans had not seen their team play a competitive game inside their own stadium since the visit of Brighton way back on Sunday, May 17 for the penultimate game of the 2025-26 campaign.
But 15 weeks later United were back for what really mattered in their first home game of the club’s second season back in the Premier League.
