The 16-year-old forward had been attracting interest from the likes of Liverpool, Manchester City, Chelsea and Glasgow Rangers with the teen excelling at Linfield under former Whites striker and now Blues boss David Healy.

Allen made his senior debut for Linfield aged just 15 years, five months and five days, becoming the club's youngest-ever debutant and capping the appearance with an assist.

Allen was also included in Healy’s 25-man squad for a Champions League qualifier with Rosenborg and would have made competition history had he featured.

The new Whites scholar can play in attack or midfield and Linfield fans have compared Allen to Chelsea teen Billy Gilmour in terms of playing style.

Allen has penned a three year deal at Elland Road, running until the summer of 2023, and will initially link up with the club’s Under-18s.
