Leeds United attacker Tyler Roberts on the bench for Wales Euro 2020 game against much-changed Italy
Leeds United's Tyler Roberts is on the bench once again for Wales' Euro 2020 clash with a much-changed Italian side.
Wales boss Robert Page has made a trio of changes from Wednesday's 2-0 victory against Turkey, bringing in Chris Gunter, Ethan Ampadu and Neco Williams for three players who were all a yellow card away from suspension, namely Ben Davies, Chris Mepham and Kieffer Moore.
Page looks to have gone with Dan James and Gareth Bale as his attacking options, with Aarn Ramsey in behind them. Roberts is yet to play a minute in the major tournament and is yet to add to his 14 international caps since the warm-up friendly against Albania.
Roberto Mancini has made wholesale changes, swapping eight players from Italy's midweek win over Switzerland.
Marco Verratti comes in, along with Alessandro Bastoni, Emerson Palmieri, Rafael Toloi, Matteo Pessina, Federico Chiesa, Federico Bernadeschi and Andrea Belotti.
Only goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma, Leonardo Bonucci and midfielder Jorginho remain from Wednesday's victory.
Italy are through to the last 16 thanks to their pair of victories so far, while Wales' four points all-but guarantees entry to the knockout stages.
Wales XI: Ward; Ampadu, Rodon, Gunter; C. Roberts, Allen, Morrell, N. Williams; Bale, Ramsey, James.
Italy XI: Donnarumma; Toloi, Bonucci, Bastoni, Emerson; Jorginho, Verratti, Pessina; Bernardeschi, Chiesa, Belotti.
