Leeds United and Aston Villa among favourites to sign £9m-rated Chelsea midfielder

As is always the case around 'silly season', Leeds have been linked with scores of quality signings already, and the latest name to be tipped for a move to Elland Road is Chelsea youngster Conor Gallagher

Bookmakers SkyBet have priced up the potential next destination of the 21-year-old, and the Whites have been made the joint-second favourites to sign the midfielder along with Aston Villa. Crystal Palace are the current 4/1 front-runners, as they look to undergo a major squad overhaul in the summer months following veteran manager Roy Hodgson's exit.

Brighton & Hove Albion, Norwich City, Watford and West Bromwich Albion are also on the list, with odds ranging from 7/1 to 10/1.

Given the wealth of talent available to Blues boss Thomas Tuchel, a break into the Chelsea side next season seems unlikely for Gallagher, despite impressing on loan with West Brom this season.

The Blues have been tipped to accept an offers in the region of £9m for the England U21 international, but could instead opt to send him out for another year on loan.

Leeds were linked with a move for Gallagher last summer, and his dynamic style of play would be a good fit with Marcelo Bielsa's high-octane style of football.

Meanwhile, the Whites have been named favourites to sign long-term target Ryan Kent, who won the Scottish Premiership title with Rangers this season.
